Bandedge Resurrected is a non-profit organisation dedicated to bringing music to the community.

History

Bandedge Resurrected (BER) was started in 2013 with the aim of making music accessible to everyone. BER started out in a disused shop unit in Winsford Town centre which was kindly donated by the Town Centre management. Starting with a few donated instruments, BER started running a weekly group music session which was open to anyone of any ability. For people who were new to music, the trustees were there to help by passing on their knowledge and experience of playing and performing. Following the redevelopment of Winsford Town Centre, BER had to find new premises and by entering a partnership with Winsford Youth Forum moved to its current location of Wharton Youth Centre on Greville Drive.

Group Tuition

The Thursday sessions still remain popular and the number and range of songs is always growing, covering a range of music from over 6 decades and styles including pop, rock 'n' roll, folk and country.

Personal Tuition

One-to-one tuition is available on guitar, keyboards, bass and drums.

Band Rehearsal Studio

BER also offers the room out for local bands to rehearse, with equipment including PA, drums, keyboards and amps available.

Community Links

BER works with the community by performing and providing stage equipment to local events such as Winsford Salt Fair, The Greenfields, Glebe & Over (GGO) Fun day and charity fundraising events.

Non-profit organisation

All money raised goes towards the upkeep of the organisation, facilities and equipment. The trustees and volunteers give up their time for free.
